There are several lip augmentation procedures available today to enhance the size and shape of your lips. Most commonly used are "tissue fillers" such as Restylane, Juvederm, or micro-droplet silicone oil. These tissue fillers give gradual plumping which can be tailored based upon the individual patient's desires. Furthermore, the results look and feel natural. Although implantable materials can be surgically used to augment the lips, Dr. Emilio Justo prefers the beauty, ease, and safety of tissue fillers for the lips.

Lip augmentation is usually performed under topical anesthesia with an anesthetic cream applied. In more sensitive or anxious patients, a dental block (injection) can be used for deeper numbing effect. Recovery takes only a few days to a week, at which time the lips usually look and feel marvelous.
