Dr. Slysh served nearly a decade in the United States Air Force as
a Major in the Medical Corps, practicing ophthalmology in Texas, Germany,
and at Luke Air Force Base. While in the military, Dr. Slysh was deployed as
chief linguist with Operation PEACE SHIELD to the Ukraine in 1995 to help
coordinate and ensure successful visits of U.S. diplomats and military
dignitaries.
Born in New Jersey to immigrant parents from the Ukraine, Dr.
Slysh is proud to call Arizona home.
Married with one daughter, Dr. Slysh is active in her local Ukrainian
Catholic Church. She also
enjoys physical training, skiing, traveling, and computers.
